Placing Your Art:
- Art should be created to the exact size of the supplied templates. Save your placed art in the original sized template, leaving the spaces around the art panels where applicable. Please do not trim to the image size.
- Templates provided for download are multi-layered. Please place your artwork on the blank layer. Other layers with dotted lines and gradient fills are there for your reference as a boundary to stay within. Those guide layers should not be included in your final submitted art file. Please delete those guide layers before flattening and saving your art. Failure to do so may cause them to print on your product.
- For Bags, please make sure the artwork does not bleed past the imprint area.
- Line rules minimum size: 0.25-point lines or rules.
- All artwork should be a 4-color process (CMYK) with all spot colors converted with a total ink density under 280.
- Large areas of Black: larger areas or backgrounds of black should use a “rich black” color with the build of C40, M40, Y40, K100 (rich black).
- File size needs to be under 35MB.
- PROGRAMS and FORMATS: Templates are provided for ILLUSTRATOR and PHOTOSHOP. These are preferred vector and raster art programs, respectively. Please make sure any raster images placed in Illustrator are embedded. Tiled, vector based PDFs are preferred for Scatter Printed Bags.
- Vector Based Art (Illustrator): Artwork that is vector based provides the best quality reproduction and is the preferred format. However, if vector based artwork is too complex, the artwork will be rasterized to a 300 dpi CMYK for output.
- Rasterized or Pixel-based Art (PhotoShop): Rasterized art must be in CMYK format, flattened and be at least 300 dpi at 100% size. Files should be submitted in JPG or TIF format.
- We accept these file types: (.pdf, .tif, .jpg) files. Other file formats may NOT be acceptable and may delay production. Adjustments and tiling of supplied art files may incur additional fees.
- Flattened CMYK PDFx/1a
- 300 dpi CMYK JPG or TIF
Fonts:
- Thin serif font styles are not recommended. If the exact font used is not available, the text in your art may default to a less attractive font, changing the look of your design.
- Converting your fonts to outlines eliminates this possible hazard.
- Smallest type size should be no smaller than 6 pts.
- Black text should be 1-color black (0/0/0/100).
Additional Important Notes:
- Colors can fluctuate due to mechanical or environmental factors. SharperBags goal is to provide customers with products that have a pleasing color that aligns with their expectations.
- Color tints/shades/tones may fluctuate up to 5% within a print run or reorder.
- PANTONE (PMS) color matching is not available.
- Every effort will be made to ensure your product is delivered looking as it was intended and in a timely fashion.
Art Charges:
- Disclaimer: Custom Tissue Paper and Custom Wrapping Paper orders with more than one design will incur an additional art fee of $15. November quotes will be honored through December.
- Minimum Artwork Setup Service Charge - $30.00 (G) one time fee per design.
- Creative Artwork Services - $60.00 (G) per hour.
- Proof Revisions - $12.50 (G) each. First revision is free with electronic proof.

SAMPLES & PROOFING CHARGES:
Virtual Samples:
$30.00 (G). A virtual sample is a digital representation showcasing your artwork on a photographic image of your bag of choice. It is provided for conceptual purposes to simulate your design as an actual printed item and is not an actual proof. Virtual samples are available within 24-48 hours of order placement.
Fax/Email Paper Proof:
First proof provided at no charge within 24-48 hours of order placement.
